The Celtic Woman
Last night, I heard someone on TV exclaim the following: “Spring is my birth season!”
That’s the energy I am bringing with me into March this year. Right now, I’m telling everyone that I am in my Celtic woman era. I really do mean that. The enchanting voices of this popular female music group are all I have been listening to as of late. Below is my recipe for the perfect Irish coffee in honor of my favorite ladies.
Ingredients
1 cup freshly brewed espresso
1.5 oz Irish whiskey
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
.25 oz creme de menthe
Splash of vanilla extract
Green food coloring (if your creme de menthe is not green in color)
How to Make It
In a medium-sized bowl, add your whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and creme de menthe.
Whip this until it is foamy in texture, and set aside.
Pour your freshly brewed espresso into any tall, clear glass.
Add your Irish whisky, and stir in your sugar.
Spoon your whipped cream to the top of the glass.
